Educational Qualification

Graduation in Arts/Commerce/ Management/ Science/ Computer Applications with First Class, as declared by the University with Knowledge in the use of Computers. (The prescribed qualification to be acquired on or before 07/08/2014).

Age Limit

18 - 26 years as on 07-08-2014 (31 years in case of SC/ST candidates and 29 years for OBC candidates).

Application fee: There will be an Application Fee of Rs.100/- (Rupees One Hundred Only). Women, Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Ex-servicemen, and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) candidates are exempted from payment of Application Fee.

Note: The candidates have to visit the nearest branches of State Bank of India for remittance of application fee to Receipt Account No.32034064593 by using the personalized payment challan of State Bank of India on any day between 17-07-2014 and 08-08-2014. The candidates may down-load and print the personalized payment challan from the ISRO web-site on any day between 17-07-2014 and 07-08-2014 and remit the application fee before the prescribed last date ie., 08-08-2014. Upon remittance of the application fee, one part of the challan form will be retained by State Bank [Bank copy] and remaining two parts will be given to the candidate. Out of the two challan parts, the candidate has to send one part of the challan form [ISRO copy] to Administrative Officer (ICRB), ISRO Headquarters, Antariksh Bhavan, New BEL Road, Bangalore -560 094 by 'ORDINARY POST ONLY' superscribing on the envelope "ICRB - RECRUITMENT OF ASSISTANT" within 7 days of filing of application and in any case not later than 14-08-2014. The remaining one part of challan form [Applicant copy] shall be retained by the candidate for future reference. The payment shall be made through cash deposit only. Payment of Application Fee in any other form like Cash, Cheque, Demand Draft, Money Order, IPO, etc. are not allowed. Applications in respect of which copy of challan form, after remittance of prescribed application fee [ISRO copy] is not received in ISRO HQ, Bangalore on or before 14-08-2014 will not be considered for further processing under any circumstances.

Pay and Allowances: Selected candidates will be appointed as Assistant in the pay band of Rs.5,200-20,200/- with Grade Pay Rs.2,400/-. The gross emoluments in the minimum of pay band will at present be approximately Rs.19,820/- p.m. In addition, House Rent Allowance [HRA], Transport Allowance at the prescribed rates in force at the place of posting will be paid for those who are not availing Departmental Housing and Transport facility, respectively.

UPSC CDS (I) Exam Results 2014 declared

UPSC has declared the results of the CDS (I) exam 2014 which was conducted on February 9, 2014. 9122 candidates have qualified for the interview by the Service Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence.

Candidates who clear the examination and the interview can join the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course.

The ratio of candidates who have been shortlisted for the examination per vacancy is 1:17: 92.

The candidates will be required to submit their original certificates in support of age (date of birth), education qualifications. Each test will be of 40 marks.For these objective type tests of total 200 marks candidates will be given a composite time of 2 Hours 15 minutes There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Civil Services Examination (Prelims) to be held on 24 August 2014

>> The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conduct its most coveted Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination for this year on 24 August 2014.

>> The prestigious Civil Services Examination is conducted annually to select officers for Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS), among others.

>> The UPSC has sought various ministries assistance to spare some officers under them who can be deputed as Assistant Supervisors and Invigilators for the exam.

>> "The Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2014 will be conducted by the Commission on August 24, 2014. Out of over ten lakh candidates expected to apply for this examination, more than one lakh candidates are anticipated to opt for Delhi as their centre of examination," the UPSC said in a letter to the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).

>> For this purpose, about 250 sub-centres will be required.

>> "The Commission would be requesting various ministries or departments of Government of India, including their attached and subordinate offices in Delhi, to spare the services of the requisite number of Group 'A' and Group 'B' officers, for performing the duties of Assistant Supervisors and Invigilators, in the aforesaid exam," it said.

>> The officers thus deputed to the Commission will be paid honorarium by the UPSC for their services, the letter added.

>> The Civil Services Examination is conducted in three stages--preliminary, mains and interview. According to a tentative time table, the Civil Services (mains) Examination, 2014 are slated to be held on December 14.
