Exam Pattern and Syllabus for IBPS Clerk Exam 2016

Hi Aspirants, Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has published the Notification for its Clerical Cadre Recruitment 2016 (IBPS CWE Clerk VI 2016 Notification Published). It’s time now to change the gear and start preparation seriously. But first we have to understand the pattern of the exam, its syllabus, negative marking etc. Let’s have a look on the same.

Exam Pattern
IBPS will conduct Online Common Written Exam for Clerk VI 2016 in two tiers i.e. the online examination will be held in two phases, preliminary and main. Total marks of Preliminary exam is 100 in a duration of 1 hour for objective type questions & total marks of Main examination is 200 in a duration of 2 hours for objective type questions. The tests except the Test of English Language will be available bilingually, i.e. English and Hindi.

 Negative Marking

There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate; there will be no penalty for that question.

Scores: The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using equipercentile method.

Cut-off Score (Online main examination)
Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test of Online Main Examination and also a minimum total score to be considered for further process. Depending on number of the State/ UT wise vacancies available, cut-offs will be decided and candidates will be considered for provisional allotment. Prior to the completion of provisional allotment process scores obtained in the Online Main Examination will not be shared with the candidates.

NOTE: MARKS OBTAINED IN THE MAIN EXAMINATION ONLY WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR FINAL MERIT LISTING.

IBPS CWE Clerk VI 2016 Notification Published

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has published notification for online examination (Preliminary and Main) for the next Common Recruitment Process for selection of personnel for Clerical cadre Posts in the Participating Organisations.
