The 2014 Australian Open took place at
Melbourne Park, Australia between 13–26 January 2014. It was the 102nd edition
of the Australian Open, and the first Grand Slam tournament of the year 2014.
The tournament consisted of events for professional players in singles, doubles
and mixed doubles play. Junior and wheelchair players competed in singles and
doubles tournaments. Li Na won the women's singles, beating Dominika Cibulkova
in the final. Stanislas Wawrinka defeated Rafael Nadal in the men's singles
final to win his first grand slam title.
