>> Stanislas Wawrinka lifted the Monte Carlo Masters Tennis title by defeating compatriot Roger Federer by 4-6, 7-6(5), 6-2 in the final.  
>> US unveiled a 25-foot giant replica of the Olympic torch to honour the Indian spiritual leader Chinmoy Kumar Ghose in New York. 
>> MW Malaysian Open 2014 won by Donna Vekic of Croatia.
>> Supreme Court lifted a 19 month old ban on mining in Goa.

>> Missed Call Banking Facility launched by Karnataka Bank Limited. If customer gives missed call to a dedicated numbers, bank will provide their account balance and mini statement through SMS on the mobile phone.
>> South Korean Prime Minister Chung Hong-won announced his resignation over the government response to the ferry disaster in which 187 died till now most of which are students.
>> PV Sindhu got bronze medal in Asian Badminton Championship. She was defeated by top seed Shixain Wang of China in the semi-finals.
>> World Intellectual Property Day 2014 celebrated.

>> Pope Francis declared John XXIII and John Paul II as saints in a historic double canonisation in St. Peter's Square.
>> New Interceptor Missile test fired successfully by India. It is capable of neutralising any incoming long range missile at higher altitude.
>> Liverpool striker Luis Suarez wins Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) Player of the Year title in English Premier League. 
>> Indian golfer Anirban Lahiri won Indonesian Masters golf tournament 2014.

>> Dissolution of Andhra Pradesh Assembly was approved by President Pranab Mukherjee.

>> TDSAT (Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal) revoked ban imposed on telecom operators - Bharti Airtel, Vodafone and Idea -  for intra-circle 3G roaming. Now they are allowed to offer 3G roaming beyond their licensed circles.
