1) GSAT-15
--> GSAT-15, India’s latest communications satellite, was launched successfully by the European Ariane 5 VA-227 launch Vehicle on November 11, 2015.
--> It was launched from the spaceport of Kourou in French Guiana.
--> The 3164 kg GSAT-15 carries communication transponders in Ku-band as well as a GPS Aided GEO Augmented Navigation (GAGAN) payload operating in L1 and L5 bands.

2) K M Mani
--> Kerala Finance Minister K M Mani on 10 November 2015 resigned in the wake of the High Court observations against him in the bar bribery case.

3) UK, Turkey tour of Prime Minister
--> Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting United Kingdom and Turkey from 12th to 16th November 2015.

--> Maldives on 10 November 2015 lifted a state of emergency declared by the president earlier this month.

8) Iran appoints first woman ambassador
--> Iran has appointed its first woman ambassador since the 1979 Islamic revolution, naming foreign ministry spokeswoman Marzieh Af-kham as the head of its embassy in Malaysia.
