Bank Ltd
Paving the way for setting up of all-women bank,
the government on 08 August 2013(Thursday) approved Rs 1,000-crore seed capital
for Bhartiya Mahila Bank Ltd.
The Cabinet cleared setting up of all-women
bank, sources said. Earlier this week, Minister of State for Finance Namo
Narain Meena had said in a written reply to the Rajya Sabha that "it is
proposed to solicit the approval of the Cabinet to include the allocation of Rs
1,000 crore to the Women's Bank in the first Supplementary to be approved in
the current Monsoon Session of Parliament".
The proposed bank will be headquartered in
New Delhi. It will start with 6 branches in North, South, West, Central and
North Eastern part of the country.
The bank is expected to become profitable
in five years of its operation.
The initial capital of Rs 1,000 crore for
the bank has been so decided that the bank is not capital constrained for
expansion of normal business.
The move to set up Bhartiya Mahila Bank is
aimed at encouraging women in general and women self-help groups (SHGs) in
particular.
The announcement to set up all Women's bank
was made by Finance Minister P Chidambaram in the Budget speech this year.
The proposed bank is likely to be
operational by November this year.

gives access to 3,500 data banks
General public can now access over 3,500
government data banks on a single website having a wealth of information,
ranging from beneficiaries under various schemes to industrial output numbers.
Launching the website www.data.gov.in,
Telecom and IT Minister Kapil Sibal said: "Ever since the UPA government
came to power, information revolution started with the Right to Information Act
that has got up to a stage where we are willing to share data with everybody.
We realise that in absence of data you can not take appropriate decision."
The website carries over 3,500 government
data banks, according to an official release.
People in government must change their
mindset and be willing to share more information barring those piece of
information that can have security implications, he said.
"Even though we 3500 sets of data,
what we need to do is change mindset of governments throughout the country to
share all that data. Unless we share information we will not be able to bring
revolution," the Minister said.
Adviser to Prime Minister of India, Sam
Pitroda said: "Today we have over 3,500 sets of data but in next six
months we would like to see that this goes up to 10,000 data sets and we would
like to challenge developer community to make at least 100 applications in next
month to use this data."

Postal Department has published screen

familiarize for those appearing the Phase-II exam. The same is follows:
Steps of Typing Test.
Step
1: On Desktop Click EH Typing Tutor then this screen appears.
Step 2: Fill Name and Roll Number and then
click Enter Button.
Step 3: Select Typing Language Hindi/Eng. and
then select Test Text i.e. Batch 1, Batch 2 …. And Click on Next Button.
Step 4: This screen display two window. One
containing text matter and another is blank. Click on Start Button to start
test.
Step 5: This screen shows that test
started. After 15 mins. test stop automatically and Print button is display on
screen i.e. in screen 6.
Step 6: Click on print button to print
result.
Steps of Data Entry Test.
Step 1: On Desktop Click DE Test , then
this screen appears. Fill Name and Roll Number and then click Log in Button
Step 2: This window will be in two parts,
on Top half part, data will be displayed with heading , candidate has to type
on the corresponding data field in bottom half part.
Step 3: Once filled the details in each
column, click on Next Button to go to next data screen.
Step 4: Once the time is over a result
screen will appear, and candidate has to take the printout of this and Sign on
it.
