Holidays to be observed in Central Government offices during the
year 2014
Central Government Administrative offices
located all over India shall observe the following 14 holidays compulsorily in
addition to three holidays from 12 holidays mentioned below.

4. Buddha Purnima-May 14(Wednesday)
5. Christmas Day-December 25(Thursday)
6. Dussehra (Vijay Dashmi)-October 03(Friday)
7. Diwali (Deepavali)-October 23(Thursday)
8. Good Friday-April 18(Friday)
9. Guru Nanak's Birthday-November 06(Thursday)
10. Idu'l Fitr-July 29(Thursday)
11. Idu'l Zuha(Bakrid)-October 06(Monday)
12. Mahavir Jayanti-April 13(Sunday)
13. Muharram-November 04(Tuesday)
14. Prophet Mohammad's Birthday (Id-e-Milad)-January 14(Tuesday)
In addition 03 holidays from below list
shall be decided by the Central Government Employees Welfare Coordination
committee in the state capitals.
