SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL) 2014 Notification Published

Friends...Finally in line with the tentative schedule, Staff Selection Commisssion has notified the Combined Graduate Level Examination 2014. As per the notification, SSC will hold Combined Graduate Level (Tier-I) Examination, 2014 on SUNDAYS the 27th April, 2014 & 4th May, 2014 and if necessary, on subsequent Saturdays/Sundays, in different batches, for selecting candidates for Tier-II examination for filling up different categories of posts in various Ministries/ Departments/ Organisations. Subject to administrative / public exigencies, Combined Graduate Level (Tier-II) Examination, 2014 will be held on 30th August, 2014 (Paper-III) and 31st August, 2014 (Paper-I & II) .

>> The candidates can apply for the post through offline and online mode.

>> In Offline Mode: The candidates are required to fill the application form {Given in link below} along with complete detailed information filled and photograph pasted. The completely filled application form is to be sent to the commission before 14 February 2014.

>> On-line application facility will be available from 19.01.2014 to 12.02.2014 (5:00PM) for Part –I Registration and up to 14.02.2014 (5:00 PM) for Part - II Registration. Online submission of the application may be made at website http://ssconline.nic.in. AND http://ssconline2.gov.in Instructions are available at the site.

Note: In Part I registration, candidate will have to fill basic information. Part II registration requires filling of payment details, uploading of photograph and scanned signature.

Opening Date for Online Registration: 19 January 2014

Closing Date for Online Registration: 12 February 2014 (5.00PM)

Date of Examination: 27 April 2014 and 04 May 2014

Qualification

Graduation from a recognized University is the minimum Educational Qualification.

Scheme of Examination

The Examination will comprise of two Tiers of Written Objective Type examination followed by Computer Proficiency Test/ Interview/Skill test, wherever applicable as per the Scheme of Examination. Posts have been placed in two groups, inter-alia, based on their Grade Pay and papers in Tier II examination/Interview. Preference for Posts, is to be indicated in the application. Candidates are requested to note that preference for Posts once exercised will be final. Request for change of preference will not be considered under any circumstance.

Tier -II -- Written Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type)

Tier -III -- Personality Test cum Interview/Computer Proficiency Test/ Skill Test (wherever applicable)/ Document Verification & Descriptive/on-line test of qualifying nature.

Fees

Rupees One Hundred Only

Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Physically Handicapped, and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from paying application fee as per extant Government orders

Age Limit as on 1 January 2014

>> Inspector of Income Tax/ Inspector (Central Excise)/ Inspector (Preventive Officer)/ Inspector (Examiner)/ Inspector of Posts/ Assistant Enforcement Officer/Inspector (CBN) Compiler/ Divisional Accountant/ Auditors/ UDCs /Tax Assistants/ Junior Accountant & Accountant /Sub-Inspector (CBN): 18-27 years( He/she must have been born not earlier than 02.01.1987 and not later than 01.01.1996)

>> Statistical Investigator Gr.II: Not exceeding 26 years (He/she must have been born not earlier than 02.01.1988)

>> Assistant/Sub Inspector in CBI: 20-27 years( He/she must have been born not earlier than 02.01.1987 and not later than 01.01.1994)

Detailed Syllabus of SSC CGL Exam 2014

>> The test will be of Objective Type. Question paper will be in Hindi and English.

>>There will be 200 questions for 200 marks

>> Duration of the exam is 2 hours

>> There are 4 sections in the exam Carrying Equal Number of Question/ Marks (50)

>> Negative Marking  (0.25 marks for every wrong answer) will be there
