out in 2011 and since then Chetan Bhagat has been busy writing scripts for
films. The author is back after a long hiatus with his latest book 'Half
Girlfriend'.
* The book's first look was released by
e-commerce store Flipkart on Tuesday morning announcing that the site is taking

* Bhagat himself shared the news on Twitter
on Monday night and said, "Tomo. New book announcement. Super
excited.(sic)" He further added, "Thank you God for taking care of me
so far. Leaving tomorrow in your hands.(sic)"
* Bhagat's new book 'Half Girlfriend' is
said to be a love story set in Bihar. The synopsis of the book on Flipkart's
advertisement read, "Once upon a time, there was a Bihari boy called
Madhav. He fell in love with a girl called Riya. Madhav didn't speak English
well. Riya did. Madhav wanted a relationship. Riya didn't. Riya just wanted
friendship. Madhav didn't. Riya suggested a compromise. She agreed to be his
half-girlfriend."
* One of India's most successful authors,
all of Chetan Bhagat's books have been bestsellers and have been adapted for
the big screen. The author also dabbles in scriptwriting and has co-written
Salman Khan's recent blockbuster 'Kick'.
