1) UN celebrates International day of non-violence:
--> United Nations has celebrated the
Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi as the International Day of Non-violence at
UN head quarters in New York.
--> The function was organised by the
Permanent Mission of India at the UN Head quarters where a number of Indian and
foreign dignitaries participated in the programme and paid tributes to Mahatma
Gandhi.

Review of IBPS PO Prelims - 3 October 2015 (Slot 1 - 9 AM)
Hi friends.. Institute of Banking Personnel
Selection (IBPS) has today (3.10.2015) started its IBPS PO 2015 Prelims Exam. This is the first
time IBPS is conducting the prelims exam for PO selection. Today exam will be
held in four slots ie, 9 AM, 11:30 AM, 2 PM and 4:30 PM. The pattern of the
IBPS PO Prelims was same as SBI PO 2015 Prelims Exam held few months back.
First slot exam at 9AM is now over. As per the reviews from our friends exam
was of Moderate level. Here is the detailed analysis of the first Slot exam
along with expected cutoff.

1. 24 men do a work in 16 days . 20 women
do a work in 18 days . what is the ratio of one day work done by 32 men and 36
women ?
2. Ram goes A to B @ 4kmph and reach 20
minutes late , and @ 6 kmph reach 30 minutes Late . Find distance between A and
B ?3. Simplification was Moderate and not too much complicated just involving +,-,*,/ and sqrt. You could solve this in 5 mins or even less if you are good at speed maths.
The overall expected cutoff of IBPS PO
Prelims Exam will be around 35 – 41 for
general category.

appointed Afghanistan coach:
--> Former Pakistan captain
Inzamam-ul-Haq was on 2 Oct. 2015 appointed temporary Afghanistan cricket coach
for their upcoming Zimbabwe tour, saying he was thrilled to be taking on a team
whose rise has been the game's Cinderella story.
--> Inzamam accepted a 25-day role to
coach Afghanistan on their tour of Zimbabwe, where they play five one-day
internationals and two Twenty20s starting from October 16.
6) South Africa defeated India by 7 Wicket in first T20:

a blinder of an innings and helped South Africa chase down the massive 200-run
target with seven wickets in hand in the first T20I against India at the HPCA
