1) Govt. to observe November 26 as Constitution Day:
--> India will observe 26 November as Constitution Day (Samvidhan Divas) to spread awareness of Indian Constitution and its architecture Dr B R Ambedkar.
--> It was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi after laying the foundation stone of Dr Ambedkar Memorial at Indu Mills Compound in the heart of Mumbai city.
--> On 26 November 1949, Indian constitution was adopted by the 389 member Constituent Assembly (CA) and it came into force on 26 January, 1950.

2) K P Sharma Oli elected as the new Prime Minister of Nepal:
--> Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli of Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist)-CPN-UML was elected as new Prime Minister of Nepal.
--> With this victory, he became first Prime Minister of Nepal under the newly adopted secular, republic and federal Constitution of Himalayan country.

3) Lewis Hamilton wins 2015 Russian Grand Prix of F1:
--> Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton of Britain won 2015 Russian Grand Prix title of Formula One.
--> This was his overall ninth victory of the season.
--> Earlier he had won Australia, China, Bahrain, Canada, United Kingdom, Belgium, Italy and Japanese 2015 Grand Prix titles of F1.

4) Vijender Singh wins debut professional bout:
--> Indian boxer Vijender Singh had the perfect beginning to his professional career as he knocked out Britain's Sonny Whiting via a technical knockout at the Manchester Arena in his debut.

5) Ajay Jayaram defends Dutch Open title:
--> Indian shuttler Ajay Jayaram notched up a superb straight-game win over Estonia's Raul Must in the finals to defend his men's singles title at the Dutch Open Grand Prix.
--> In October 2014, Jayaram had won his maiden Dutch Open GP title and was the first Indian to win badminton Grand Prix tournament under the new 11×5 scoring system.

6) International Day of Girl Child celebrated:
--> Every year 11th October is being observed as International Day of the Girl Child (IDGC).
--> This year it was fourth edition of this day after it was observed for first time in 2012.
--> The theme for this year is ‘The Power of the Adolescent Girl: Vision for 2030’.

7) Novak Djokovic defeated Rafael Nadal to win 2015 China Open Men’s Singles title:
--> Novak Djokovic won the China Open Men’s Singles title by defeating Rafael Nadal of Spain.
--> For Djokovic, it was the fourth consequent win in Beijing since 2012.

8) Veteran Tamil actress Manorama died:
--> Legendary Tamil actress Gopishantha, popularly known by her stage name Manorama, died on 10 October 2015.
--> Manorama acted in over 1500 movies in her career spanning almost six decades.

9) Garbine Muguruza won women’s singles title of China Open:
--> Spain’s Garbine Muguruza on 11 October 2015 captured the China Open women's singles title by defeating Switzerland's Timea Bacsinszky.

10) Jioji Konrote elected as Fiji's President:
--> Fiji’s Parliament on 12 October 2015 elected the Minister for Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations, Jioji Konrote, as the country’s next President.

11) Angus Deaton wins 2015 Nobel Prize in Economics:
--> Scottish Economist Angus Deaton wins 2015 Nobel Prize in Economics.
--> He was awarded for his work on consumption, poverty and welfare.
